Break-in Update

Overnight on Monday October 14th into Tuesday October 15th one house and several vehicles were targeted by thieves.

The first report came at 3.30am by a resident on Garland Road who was awoken at 3am by a car alarm and then someone tried the door of his house.

The second report of vehicle break ins came at 8.30am when a resident on Corby Road informed us of two locked vehicles being entered without forced entry on Corby Road. The first, a van used for work was entered but fortunately all tools had been removed. The second vehicle, a car, had been accessed and a drum kit removed from the boot. The polive were called and have suggested that perhaps the thieves had used a scanning device used to unlock vehicles by transmitting a signal from the keys inside the owner's house. Pictures of the stolen drum it are on our Facebook page.

And the third report coming at 6pm evening of Tuesday October 15th, from a resident on Church View who found their vehicle had been targeted overnight, again without forced entry. Nothing appears to have been taken.
