Vic Bearcroft is a British wildlife and pet portrait Artist who has won many awards, including the ‘Endangered Species category'. He is also regularly featured on the painting and drawing channel.
At a recent workshop for the Weldon Art Group the team actioned the pastel work of the horse shown. 21 people attended and Vic has kindly donated his piece of work to the British Legion. This will be raffled to help raise funds for this years poppy appeal.
The Legion has a 100 square sheet and will be selling each numbered square for £2 each. When filled they will draw the 100 numbers in a raffle, with the winner being the person listed in the square drawn.
Your donation can only be taken by the Legion member HOLDING the 100 squared sheet so there is no duplication of numbers. The draw will take place in Weldon Cricket Club once all squares are sold. Check with Roger Lewis or John Starmer where the donation sheet is daily.
Vic specialises in pastel on velour, but also works in pencil, watercolour, coloured pencil, charcoal, oil and acrylic media.
Having spent part of his childhood in Kenya, Vic has been drawing animals since he could hold a pencil. Being passionate about wildlife in general - particularly wolves - enables Vic to work with a large number of animal welfare and conservation organisations worldwide, donating prints, merchandise and funds.
