COVID19 closes school

Weldon Primary School forced to close due to COVID-19

The school closed on Thursday 17th July due to having 3 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases with the parent group.

This forced the school term to come to an abrupt end right before the summer holidays.

No children have tested positive, so therefore no child at the school has come in direct in school.

The parents did have children in the 'bubbles' in the school though, the school has asked for all parents and carers to stay vigilant should you become unwell over the next few weeks.

If you know you have been in contact with the families, specifically in gatherings outside of school, then you should follow the governments guidelines and isolate for 14 days.

All staff at Weldon Primary wish everyone a wonderful summer holidays and to stay safe.

The school will reopen in September, ready for the new school year, while following the governments guidelines daily.
