Local photographer wins bronze!

Corby Photographer

Local photographer Nicola Harrison, owner of Daisy Dots Photography has recently received an award from The Guild Of Photographers. Not bad considering that until September 2017 Nicola was a full time history teacher at a local secondary school!

It was in 2017 that her passion for photography finally won her heart and she followed her dream of owning her own studio, now situated in Middleton. Nicola doesn't do things by halves and has trained with some of the top photographers in the world also returning to school to complete not one but two qualifications in photography.

So in January, just 16 months in to her new venture and after watching the awards for the last few years but never feeling worthy of entering she finally bit the bullet.

The national award is judged by a panel of experts and then graded.

'It’s really hard to get a picture even classified so I would have been happy with that!'

Every one of the nine images entered by Nicola was classified and then one image graded as Bronze.

'I was over the moon!' said Nicola

Congratulations Nicola!
