Although born in Greenock, Scotland, Lee-Anne and her family like many others moved to Corby during the 1980s to be closer to other family members and for better employment opportunities.
Beauty therapy was always at the forefront of her mind, after attending school in the town Lee-Anne chose a role in teaching support and then followed a career in psychology. During this time Lee-Anne maintained a firm grasp on beauty by giving treatments to family and her large circle of friends, always being on call for their beauty needs! Every woman needs a friend like this! It was then that the penny dropped and Lee-Anne realised that she could actually make herself a career from her passion.
Re-training as a beauty therapist ten years ago and promising to only train with the best brands in the business, Lee-Anne vowed to offer the highest quality service possible. Following her initial training she later qualified as an HD brow therapist and less than two years later was chosen to become an HD brow trainer. This was a fantastic achievement with a world recognised brand and Lee-Anne now teaches once a week.
In the early days Lee-Anne offered treatments from both her own home and mobile but it quickly became apparent this wasn’t going to be maintainable and the decision was made to rent some space in a salon in Corby. This contributed to Lee-Anne gaining so many loyal clients who have supported her on her journey to where she finds herself today. The proud owner of her very own salon on Kettering Road, Weldon (next to Rogers coaches) which opened its doors in March this year.
But this is only the beginning. Lee-Anne continuously keeps up to date with training to maintain the highest standards she insists on. She also has some amazing plans for the future of the salon which include a ‘Girls night in’ Pamper area which will include a hot tub! The children’s pamper area for girls to enjoy their first spa experience with their friends which has already proved very popular.
Since opening Lee-Anne says she has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the village and meeting the local people. Especially on a lunchtime when she finds herself popping to the local pub for an all too convenient bite to eat!
Welcome to Weldon Lee-Anne, you’ve fallen into village ways already!
